(this conversation takes place after explaining that I met and had idol chat with a man from India.. at the grocery store)
ME: “I just love their flowing clothes! All creamy white and soft and flowy” *sigh*
SHANE: “Yeah, they look very comfortable”
ME: “I’d totally wear one of those if people didn’t stare at me”
SHANE: “Why don’t you?”
ME: “I’d have to wear shorts under it…I don’t like when my thighs touch…it bothers me”
ME: “Then again, I could fix that by exercising.”
SHANE: “Yeah, but that would probably bother you more!”
ba-dum-dum

(on talking about our daughter college costs)
SHANE: “So how much is it BEFORE all her scholarships, grants and other aid?”
ME: “About $34,000″
SHANE: “That’s for the whole four years, right?”
ME: *blink. blink*
“Uhhhh…..duh……no. That’s for one. Where have you been during all our college conversations?”

sounds like some of the conversations my husband and i have.lol! thank goodness for scholarships, grants and financial aid! i believe it costs more than that for a year where my daughter is going.

Thigh rubbing is not pleasant, no matter what size those thighs happen to be. And yeah, exercising IS more unpleasant.

OMG…about the exercise…too funny….and that would bother me more too…Shane is funny..!and re:college costs…it makes me sick to think….I now have 2 in college…and between me and hubs..were working 5 jobs…our country is crazy…college has turned out to be just another big business

Exercise and college tuition. Two things I’m not willing to discuss right now. I do hope to start the exercise up again sometime soon, though.
The college tuition, shhhh…I’ve got quite a while before I have to think about that.

$34,000 A YEAR!!! Please tell me that includes dorms and a food plan? Cause that is insane. Guess we need to up our college fund contributions. I shudder to think what college tuition is going to be like in 15 years.
So do you not wear skirts?

Yes, that includes dorm and food. Not books though. It’s insane. Luckily she gets quite a few scholarships and some grants.
And nope, haven’t worn a skirt in years. Although…I have worn skorts, lol. I work out of the house so my work gear is pretty much my every day gear, lol.

Oh joy, oh bliss, Mother nature, collidge iz ixpensif. 
Oh well, before we know it you’ll be retired in Florida — I see you on the West Coast.
Less hurricaines. Jim and I will buy a winter place not far from you, and we’ll blog out all our happy days, knowing our children are supporting themselves, and thrilling us with cute little grand-babies.

Exercise, please what is the foreign concept?
College costs, OMG, I can just throw up now. My husband was really shocked at what the one state university is going to cost, far less than the $34K, but more than he thought. I guess I should have been sharing my fears with him more. We are blessed that one will be receiving a substantial athletic scholarship, and they other better be applying for every scholarship known to woman!
