Middle Child and I were having a discussion the other day about exercising. I told her, “Get in shape now…you don’t want to be like me and have no flexibility when you are 40″.
She replied, “Oh….I will have enough money to have someone to do that for me”.

So what’s up with Kara on American Idol? Every time I see her she’s hanging all over Simon. *shudder* On his lap, arms draped around him. It’s weird. I wonder if she’s taking over for Paula in the ‘nutjob’ department. Has anyone checked her Coke cup?

What’s up with Spammers? I don’t get them. Are there actually people that sit and enter spam into our comment areas ALL. DAY. LONG. ? What do they hope to get from this? It’s just so nonsensical. Do they get paid for this?

I shopped for the first time at an Aldi’s. My adventure started with having to put .25 cents into a little box to unlock a shopping cart. Everything there is pretty much off brand/generic. I wasn’t sure how well that would go over but I filled my cart anyhow. My husband says the cheese sticks are better than the brand name. But I’m lovin the Frosted Delights…which are generic Ding Dongs (Hostess). WAY fresher than Hostess. Anyhow….I filled the cart, went through the register….$123.00. Will that be cash or debit?
me: Um. Check. You don’t take checks?
(whattttttt?) So they suspended the order, I ran to the bank and came back with the dough. I figure I saved about $50. Plus, we’re having fun trying out all the new names of the foods, lol. Oh! and I got my quarter back when I returned the cart and locked it back up. lol.

Why doesn’t the computer keyboard have a cents symbol? It has a dollar sign but no cents.

oddly enough my kids think they are going to be wealthy too, we’ll check in in 30 years and see how that’s going..lol!
My spam comments are mostly on old old posts, I don’t bother with going in and deleting those, but it is irritating.
We have an Aldi’s. They had them in Chicago when I lived there 28 years ago too. I think I’m spoiled, and that I’m afraid to buy unknown brands and have them be bad and feel like I wasted my money. I’ve been in there maybe 3 times, and most of that was to purchase food for the food pantry. Maybe you could do a complete product review post, and give me hope!

I love Aldis. We go once a month and I know I save at least 50% (keyboard has a percent sign thank goodness!). I don’t usually buy alot of meat but everything else is good. Nothing like saving a few dollars!

Those darn Spammers have been driving me nuts lately too. Most of the entries don’t even make sense!
We have a new Aldi not too far from us (it’s actually in the same shopping complex as my beloved Costco). At first I thought it was a little weird with all of the off brands and the pay carts but one day I bit the bullet and went inside. I didn’t buy anything other than a bottle of cheap white wine because I liked the name, Winking Owl. The wine was what I would expect for 2 dollars but now that I’ve heard another Aldi testimonial, I may go back for some actual shopping. Don’t you have to bring your own bags too or buy theirs otherwise???

No offense, but checks? Who writes checks these days?
We had an Aldi in my hometown. Might still? We only went a couple of times, but it always smelled weird and now, no matter how many people tell me it’s great, how much money they save, I just can’t bring myself to go. It’s forever tainted for me.
Spam. Sigh. It’s a major pain in the ass. Don’t know what to do about it.

Spammers!! They actually get through on some people’s blogs, and get links for themselves– preying exactly on blogs like Anita’s where she doesn’t remove the old ones. All those links add up, and of course, if approved, allow those eff-ers in again. Effing Eff-ers.
The quarters thing reminds me of that Tom Hank’s movie, Terminal. I so love that movie!! You know it?

I thought the same thing about Kara on AI. She has replaced Paula as resident nut case. Yes, a cents sign should be added to the keyboard b/c that’s all we’ll have soon.

Oh no, Sheila. You know I’m all about the saturated fat, but do you know what’s in those Ding Dongs? Oh how funny! Pay someone to do that? That is great. Wish I was that rich….
We have an Aldis’ here and I shopped there ALL the time as a kid. Now, I don’t shop there cause I personally really like having sackers and at our Kroger store the sacker takes the groceries to my car and puts them in my car for me! That is worth the $20 I am not saving. But I do need to save money on groeries….we are going all Dave Ramsey and budgeting every penny….
yes – why the heck is there no cents sign on the keyboard? I have wondered that too LOL

I have to say, I like Aldi’s….some of our tastiest treats came from there. Someone told me they are owned by the same folks as Trader Joes…which is wonderful! I just wish there was one closer to us, as driving 25 minutes is not practical….but when we are in the area, we stock up!

I bet my son would say the same thing. He seems to think he has all the resources he needs whenever he needs them and that will continue. HA!
Of course Kara has to act crazy…it’s TV they probably make her. I don’t want to see Ellen sitting on Simon’s lap! How staged was Ryan coming off the stage last week at Simon (I have issues).

I don’t get spammers either! Who could feel good about doing that for a “job”? They are the whole reason I moderate my comments!
I was actually laughing because I can’t believe you don’t have a debit card! So YOU are the lady in front of me at the checkout line still writing checks! Hahah!
We don’t use credit cards much, but I use my debit card for everything! So much faster.

Just today I was looking for a cents symbol on my keyboard and lamenting that I didn’t have one. And what was I writing about? And Aldi! Freaky.
I love Aldi. Love it!
