So a milestone was marked today in our home.  Our youngest, Alan went off on his first day of High School.  Not appreciating the fact that he had to wear his shirt tucked in and a tie, the day went very well.  It seems like only yesterday that he started preschool.  This kid is smart cookie.  All my kids are smart yet this one seems to defy the laws of his genetics.  I think it’s from being forced as a toddler to play school with his sisters.  The boy was reading at age 3.  Not fake reading like most three year olds try to pull over on you…..(you know, like you’ve read the book so many times that they memorize it and think they are reading it to you)….this kid was literally reading at 3 years old.  He skipped the 5th grade.  He’s got one of those spongy type brains and a photographic memory.  Anyhow, high school, go figure.  Four more years and we’re done!  (Yeah right)
