Garden Monday – *sigh*

I finally started to tackle the overgrown garden and start getting it ready for this season. One good thing about the monsterous rains we’ve had the last 2 months is that it’s delayed having to do this at all. Of course in return for that little treat, the weeds are growing at a record rate.
I ended up getting up all the big clumps of grass and this is what I have left to do. Then use the rototiller. I might actually have something growing by September at this rate. Well, actually…. at least I’ll have onions!

Onions are good!! Right? This has been such a weird year weather-wise. I hope things settle down soon. Then you can get to work on an awesome garden!!

We gave up on the veggies this year. We’ve stuck out two years in a row. We did plant lots of new flowers and bulbs though. Fingers crossed that we don’t kill those. Gardening can be expensive! Especially when you are bad at it

It will get there, promise! I didn’t think I would get my garden in before June 1, but all of a sudden the weather started to cooperate.

Weeds suck. I spent an hour tonight pulling them out of the cracks in the driveway. Good times. Maybe you’ll find some surprises in there. Some seeds from last year that sprouted. Glass half full.
