Okay, so you wanna hear something funny?  (of course you do, you’re HERE right?)  So when we first moved to this neighborhood, we were one of the youngest couples.   Most every one else was at least 100 90.   In fact, Methuselah actually lives on my street.  Okay, so maybe I’m making that up.   We try to help out whenever we’re needed.  Shane picked many a geezer up from their bathroom floor, twice from the bottom of their basement steps and helped a guy VISITING our neighbor that had a heart attack on their front porch.  We used to joke that everytime you see an ambulance go down the street a house will be on the market in a week.

Well….lol….the other day…I was out shoveling my drive and the new neighbor across the street was snow blowing.   A couple hours later he sent me an email saying that he didn’t think about it til afterwards and felt bad that he didn’t come over and snowplow for us….and felt bad that I was shoveling.   Such a nice guy!   I emailed him back and told him we did, in fact, HAVE a snow blower but were warming up the frozen fuel line…but thanks for thinking of us!  I thought it was sooooo nice of him.   Such a sweet young couple about 1/2 our age moved in there just a year or so ago.   You never know what you’ll get with new neighbors, but we hit the neighbor jackpot here.  (He’s the one who helped me with my computer issues).

ANYHOW……….My GOD how I ramble!   I told Shane about the guys email and we were like….’wow, that is really nice that he offered to do that for us!’       It took me about 5 minutes and then it hit me……I said….

OH. MY. GOD! Shane! We ARE NOW the OLD people on the street!   He felt sorry for the old person shoveling!”

We had a great laugh!   Then I made pea soup, put my hair in rollers,  and went to bed at 7pm.
