Fun Gift #1.

Meet the ‘big dog’. This is fun gift #1.
Of course it’s an exercise ball…duh.
We went in to YouTube and found some quick exercise videos using the ball. Seemed simple enough…til we saw a video of a little Japanese girl doing ‘tricks’ on her big ball. Mid air straddles with only her hands touching the ball. Oh!…She was good…real good! She didn’t touch the floor for like 30 seconds!
So at this point, all bets are off on using this for it’s intended purpose. Because at our house, certain people must think of new uses for new things. And Shane, who…yes…is going to be 46 next month…decided to see how long he could stay on the ball without his hands/feet touching the floor.

So yeah…it went like this for oh about three ‘turns’ between father & son…..and then this happened.
The FATHER got a sprained hand.
Nice and swollen.

Those men are never satisfied until they hurt themselves. My in-laws gave Mae (the one who already has trouble keeping teeth in her mouth) a pogo stick and a super loud horn for her bike. Gee thanks!

I have one of those balls. The only one that ever “uses” it is my daughter She’s 2.
My favorite gift this year is a Kitchenaid standalone mixer. Like Martha. Stewart. I rock the kitchen.

Leave it to boys to get hurt “exercising” with your gift. This will now serve as my warning never to get one of these. I can see my boys doing the same things.

That is so funny! At least you had good memories made right?
My favorite gift was the $400 in Dillons (a grocery store) gift certificates! I aim so excited about that is nuts! I was happier about that than my Photoshop Elements LOL

We have one of those and it was never used for its intended purpose either. Leave it to the boys to make it a competition. Potty putty was a big hit again and these voice warpers (loud but funny).

It’s always funny until somebody gets hurt.
Then it’s hysterical.

Thankfully the exercise ball can’t poke an eye out…
And our 2 year old got “Toy Story” for our Wii and my older brother and I spent hours playing it yesterday.

wow, fun but memorable, I got a cell phone and decide not to use it until January, 2010. I am kind of addicted to computer, not interested to connect or socialize using my new phone…
those photos are beautifully taken,
I love the one saying “big dog”.

I have one of those giant exercise balls, the kids have a lot of fun with it. No daring tricks so far, but my daughter did get one of her loose teeth knocked out with one.
My son got Lego Indiana Jones which was actually more for me, except I haven’t gotten a good chance to play yet.

Oh I love it! We have one of those big balls. And I mean “we”! I’ve been bouncing Jack on an exercise ball since he was a baby and even though he is getting to be a very BIG boy he still loves me to bounce him. It’s his comfort.

My best gift this year was being able to chill at home Christmas morning rather than rush rush rush!

LOL – sorry this post has me cracking up. I doubt it will be used for it’s intended purpose too! I do love exercise balls though – they are the best!
