Explosive Post

Well. MC is back to school today after a bout of suspected food poisoning last Saturday from fast food. It was an explosive situation. And…let’s just say that one of the things on my ‘List of Things I’m Grateful For’ this week is the fact that my kids are old enough to puke in the
toilet where puke belongs. Long gone are those ‘good ol days’ of just puking where they stand and then me having to pick shards of stomach contents from the carpeting. Life is good.
I knew it was bad when she lay in bed on day 2 and had to text all her friends and cancel her birthday dinner at Applebees. Cuz if you knew MC, you’d know she loooooves presents. Luckily we did celebrate on her birthday last week. This is how she looked before going to school this morning, with one of her favorite gifts. Yes…she is 17 and is toting a Harry Potter lunch box. And that’s one reason why I love this kid.

Awwww…I love that lunch box! My kids are 5 and 7 and I’m still following them around with a wastebasket when they are sick!

She is so cool with her HP lunch box, I love it! Glad she’s feeling better. I am still at the stage where at least half of my kids puke where they’re standing and I have to mop up the remains. Good times. Actually even my teen had a barf incident not long ago where she didn’t make it to the toilet, unfortunately for her I wasn’t around to clean her up…but her date was.

OMG, she is SEVENTEEN???
Poor sweet baby getting sick, luckily she is not a wee child, that could’ve been really really serious.
And remember when thy puke allover the bed?
And hope she gets to celebrate in style belatedly!

I am happy to hear she is feeling better…….ugh. My kids learned from an early age they better make the toilet or a bucket or mommy would be sick too!

I got food poisoning from Taco Bell when I was seventeen. To this day I can’t eat their nachos belgrande. I couldn’t even smell the stuff for like 10 years after. Blech.
