Hope everyone’s holiday was grand! Ours was! We did the polish food at my parents house…kielbasi/sauerkraut, ham, pirogi, cheesy potatoes (not sure if that’s polish) and a beef roast. And we lived according to Murphy’s Law during these last couple days.
On “Christmas Adam” our new dishwasher broke. (After three days of certain children not doing their dish duty) We’re not sure if it’s actually broke, or if the pipe is just frozen. Since it will warm to 63 tomorrow….we’ll see I guess.
On Christmas Eve, a pole somehow got stuck in the
track of the garage door, and when the door came down it pushed the tracks out and cockeyed the door. It was stuck like this until today when it was fixed. The only bright side was that we got the Jeep out before it was stuck in this position. lol.

I’m a horrible daughter because I didn’t take pics of the glorious spread my mom had out on Christmas Day. (I was too busy eating it all to take pics!) But suffice it to say, even though we have 11 for dinner, mom cooks for 30 and bakes
for 50. (And I’m serious, I’m not exaggerating!) The kitchen counter was filled with platter upon platter of nut kiefels, kolache, fudge, snickerdoodles, well, seriously every kind of cookie you can imagine. Not to mention banana cream pie, apple pie, and cheesecake.
Here’s a little plate with an assortment of bakery on it. Middle Child made it for herself late last night. She breathed all over itso that no one else would touch it and it would be ‘all for her’. lol.

There was lots of happiness, a little obsession with the new Guitar Hero & some minor “fighting”.

And maybe a little Christmas ‘mischief’.
Oh! and I got a new digital camera which I should have familiarized
myself with before starting to take pics. lol. And…I got something for some relaxation! Some tea and tea accessories!
And in case anyone is wondering….after the initial 20 minutes of swearing about the garage door….we began to laugh about it. It didn’t put a damper on our Christmas Spirit. But then again, we’re like ‘that’. If you can’t laugh at your own issues….you’re in big trouble! lol.
