Monday Garden Club

.

It’s Monday Garden Club over at Feet Off the Table!

So. We finally got around to prepping the area for the garden.   I can’t believe how small our first garden was.   We used an old dog kennel to fence it in and keep our dogs out.    Since I grew a ton of stuff we could actually eat last year, we decided to expand it this year.

Let’s just say….when it comes to anything with power tools, machinery, etc…we’ve got some dumb luck. FIRST pull on our sod cutter and the pull rope broke in two. But never fear! Duct tape was near! (we pretty much fix everything with duct tape)
.
And so we called it a night. Here is our new slightly expanded garden area.   We closed off the open area with a makeshift temporary fencing until I can get some chicken wire.  It’s about 16 ft x 7 ft.  I already know next year it will be bigger.
This is my garden plan which I did through vegetable-gardening-online.com (click 2 enlarge) Now…if anyone sees any issues here…PLEASE let me know. You know I don’t know nothin bout plantin no garden. (*note: I’m not clumping that many zucchinis and cucs in there…It’s merely the area they will go into.) OH! and those orange blobs are ONIONS. lol.

Oh, and each block in the diagram is one square foot.
