Every time I visit a blog of a young mom, I’m amazed by how different baby things are now…from when I had my kids. Take strollers for instance. I remember pushing that stroller thinking…’These things should really have cupholders!” Now they have like 6.

Those pictures are great! I love looking at older pictures, even from when I was a baby in the mid 80’s. I always say to my mother, “You put me in that?! How am I still living?!”.

I love all the stroller photos! I remember our childhood stroller has rust stains on it. How awful is that? LOL
Strollers have seriously come a long way. My oldest will be almost 9 when the baby is born. With almost a decade between babies, I can’t wait to experience first-hand how high-tech (and rust proof) some of the strollers are now.
Thanks for stopping by for Wordful Wednesday. Come check out my Wordless Wednesday post too.

I know! My little guy is only 4.5 years and I marvel at how things have changed. Oh I remember when I was pregnant I thought I was going to need so much stuff.
Eh…if I was going to do it again I’d probably be very granola–give me a sling, some cloth diapers, I’ll make the milk, baby equipment done!

What a great collection of old photo’s. I was born in 1967 and I can remember the car seat my brother had. It looked a lot like those scary swings you ride at carnivals and it hooked over the top of the front seat (with these l shaped bars). Of course I was probably rolling around on the floor board at the time!
Kids these days drive around in bubble wrap!
Oh and the stroller. Our kids had the smart car version…today’s kids have escalades.

I LOVE the evolution of strollers here. I have to say, strollers are BIG business these days. Just in the few years between babies, so many new advances have surfaced. It’s ridiculous what some strollers cost these days.

You wanted strollers with cup holders back then, imagine if you made one? Every idea starts from there being a need for something, maybe next time you should present what you want to the companies and maybe they’d make you a million dollars. It’d be nice.

I just LOVE your mom’s chubby cheeks!! Yes, and so funny to see how the strollers of today look! What will they look like in another 20 years? maybe they’ll have jet packs on ‘em and we’ll just fly the babies around!!
