Aloha Friday ~ 1040

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is a day to take it easy & look forward to the weekend. And…to take it easy on posting, too…by asking a simple question. Participate or visit other participants by clicking the button on the left.
On Dec. 31 I received something in the mail that made me all fluttery. My blood started flowing and excitement filled every bone in my body. It was my 2009 – 1040 booklet and forms. How sick is that? We have a couple small businesses plus our personal taxes so I have TONS of forms to fill out. Tons! Yet… for some weird reason every year this brings me happy pleasure. I could feel the blood racing through the capillaries and almost wanted to start right then and there.
My question: Do you get excited about doing your taxes?
*p.s. how ironic is it that our schools are closed today? lol (yesterdays post)

My husband does our taxes, so I don’t even think about it really. Except that we usually get money back and that means a little extra fun.

We just pass ours along to an accountant..nothing too exciting there:)
Although, we do qualify for the home improvement tax credit, we did our roof and got a new furnace in 2009!

The best part of our taxes is giving them to our CPA. lol.
And we had minimal snow here in Atlanta and yes, it is a snow day. Which means I will have no blog reading today bc MiniMac ALSO has a snow day. haha.

are you Kidding….who love doing their taxes…Although this year we will be getting back every dollar we paid in plus have a credit to carry over. thanks to installing our Solar system. So I guess I am looking forward to the filling this year.

I too get excited about filing our taxes, mostly because we always get a refund! I’m hoping to pay off some pesky bills and go to Arizona some time this spring. I also love the E-file and simple computer programs. They make the whole tax process a thousand times easier and faster!
My kids are on 2 hour delay today because of the weather. At least I’ll get rid of one for the afternoon!

j/k We use an accountant so doing our taxes hasn’t been that difficult. Mostly because we usually receive a refund. If I had to pay more it would be a different story. Happy Friday!

I do get somewhat excited. It is the final way to say goodbye to the previous year. And we always look forward to a refund.

I’m excited about doing my taxes but I have sorta started a business, technically, and I have never filed the state taxes before. That will be a little confusing for me this time. But I love this time of year cause I can’t wait for my tax return! Cha-ching!

I get so freaking excited about NOT having to mess in any way whatsoever with taxes any more, I could kiss a moose! I used to help Jim but now he gives ALL papers to our accountant — yay!!!!! No more payroll quarterly stuff for me — no more Work Force Commission crap. No more w-2s mailed on a timely basis and all that shit. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do remember, tho, being very happy an satisfied when the numbers worked out.

The husband does it. I don’t think he really likes it but he likes that he is conquering the program to do it himself instead of having to pay hundreds of dollars to have it done for him/us.

I do get a little excited when we get our W2s. Only a little…we get a good chunk back from the Fed but ALWAYS pay back our state. Hmmm??
