Okay, so a few weeks ago I won some Tastefully Simple Beer Bread (I KNOW!)  from a contest over at 47 and starting over.

So…I was originally going to save this and make it for Christmas Eve.  Then I thought Oh hell no!  I’m not sharin any of my beer bread with anyone! ‘nah…let’s just make it today!’  And OMG, I’m soooo glad I did!   First off, it was very, very simple.  All you do is pour the mix into a bowl, add a bottle of beer and gently mix for 20 seconds.  SECONDS.   Damn…even a moron could make this bread!

Then you just bake it 50 minutes or so.  That’s IT!  Well, I have to laugh because the whole time it was in the oven everyone was walking around sniffing the kitchen.  THAT’S how enticing this bread smelled.  I wish I had the ability to post smell-o-vision.  Seriously.  Anyhooooo…..I was in the basement doing laundry and was startled first by a loud….”MOM!”…and then…”SHEILA!”  I ran upstairs to see Shane and Alan standing in the kitchen with the oven door open.  “What?  What’s the matter???”   They both looked at me…”The TIMER went off”.   Now seriously…it’s not that often that anyone reacts to my cooking like that.    They even had the oven mitts out.  lol.

I served this delicious bread with home made chili.  Mmmmm.  Thank you to Julie for hosting the giveaway and to Trisha at Tastefully Simple for the BEST BREAD EVER.  I seriously cannot even describe how wonderful this stuff smelled.   Oh….and Shane told the kids they could only eat one piece or else they’d get drunk.  Which…of course…is NOT true.  But we’ve mastered the art of deception when it comes to leftovers around here.    (and get this!  it’s only like $5.50 a box!)
