MY QUESTION: What is your average grocery bill for one week?
My Answer: about $175. (fam of 5, and that’s mostly ‘needed’ stuff – not a lot of junk)

We spend about $100 a week for a family of three. About once a month I go to BJs and get about $100 worth of bulk stuff: diapers, ground beef, etc.

I also have a family of 5 and if we are low on everything I can spend anywhere from $150 – $200. Sometimes more sometimes less.. Everything has gone up so much over the last year that it really makes me sick to go to the store!

I wish I knew. I’ve been so bad about doing one trip – it’s a trip here and there and that adds up but I’d have to guess that our average weekly bill is about $100-150.

About $100 a week which is mostly spent on fresh fruits and veggies. I rarely buy meat at the grocery store. Our food bill will be even less when my garden begins to pay out.
$150 doesn’t sound too bad with 3 teenagers in the house.

Hmm. . . I have no idea – isn’t that terrible??!! Both our kids are grown and out on their own! I go to the Commissary once a month for staples etc – usually spend close to $300, but in between I shop at local markets that I love. Guess I better try and keep track for the next few months and see how much I am actually spending??!! Thanks for the great question!

It’s anywhere from $175 to $230 twice a month. There’s only 4 of us but one is a hollow legged teen & he’s literally eating us out of house & home! lol, guess that’s what happens when you grow 2 inches in a week.

I actually have no idea. We all randomly go to the grocery store and to Costco and never add anything up. Maybe we should try saving receipts one month!

About $100 a week for 6 of us. It used to be much more but I have learned lately to budget better and I shop at Aldi.

The dreaded grocery bill averages between $150 to $200 a week, since I’m always darting out for the essentials multiple times. It’s not cheap to feed our little army.

Phew, now I don’t feel so bad. We spend about $175-200 per week for a family of 5 (plus a great dane puppy
) I use coupons as often as I can and try to stock up on sale items. I shop the military commissary 2x a month which saves some especially on meat. I was thinking $800-1000 a month was outrageous for groceries and I was doing a terrible job, lol. I don’t feel so bad now that it seems in line with what most other moms are saying.
Thanks

We are a family of 5, I spend @ $150 a week but sometimes got back and spend another $20-$30, and we eat dinner out at least once a week. I admit to buying some junk food, and with kids home for summer, different kinds of lunch foods, during the school year they all take a sandwich, no one likes the food at school that much.
