I won $25,000,000,000.00!
I entered a contest over at Mozi’Esme during their Operation Love 
Zimbabwe campaign and I actually WON! Yup!
Twenty Five Bill-ion Dollars!
So, what to do what to do? Hmmmm, that would cover pretty much all my expenses over say….a lifetime (or three). But considering a few weeks ago they dropped 12 zeros off their currency, so the $25,000,000,000 is now Zim$0.025 or something like that…and the last exchange rate to US$ is Zim$59/US$1, so that comes to about US$0.00…..lol, so…I won’t be making any major purchases. (But I am SO enjoying this prize!!!!)
Winning this contest DID however come at a wonderful time for me. It reminded me that my ‘woes’ are pretty stupid. There are people all over the world who are living through disease and destruction, while I’m complaining about needing a new washer or buying medicine for my kids’ eye. Yes, fun bloggy material but when put into perspective, pretty dumb. So my humble winnings will be mailed to me. In return I will put together a package of goodies to send over to Mozi’Esme who’s family helps out an orphanage in Africa. And I shall cherish the win, the self taught lesson and enjoy the reminder that I’m rich with many things….money just isn’t one of them. Group hug!

Congrats! I agree about what you said. Sometimes when I have a problem, I look around and realize how insignificant my worries are compared to others. I thank God for my blessings.

good schtuff sheila!!! it really feels good…to give. those humbling experiences ebb and flow in our lives, but i seem to be struck by them more and more these days. i think parenthood has everything to do with that.

Congrats. Is that for real? I’ll have to show it to my son who’s sooo curious about currency and that there is actually a $25 billion bill. I think what you’re doing is fantastic.

How funny! But kind of sad, for the Zimbabweans. How could their economy have gotten so out of whack that they actually have $25 billion bills. Crazy.
