You know, as a small business owner for 12 years I can say that it’s not easy, but I wouldn’t want to do anything else.  It’s well worth the sacrifice, hard work and penny pinching now and then to be able to have started something that is ‘all yours’!  It’s really very satisfying (until the economy takes a dump and you’re struggling big time). 

But think about it, there is no better time than the present to take a leap of faith and go out on your own!  Start your own business out of your own home and make a little extra cash!  Who knows, you might get lucky and make it big someday!  Starting your own home based business doesn’t have to take a lot of start up money, although you could make a bigger investment and get into a franchise with an existing small business opportunity. 

There’s thousands of those types of opportunities out there just waiting for an investment!  If nothing else you can gain a lot of insight into what your interests are by just looking at different ideas and businesses that are already out there.   See what others are succeeding at and see if it’s something you can do yourself!  Trust me….if you are considering starting a small business, there is no better time as the present….no matter what the economy is like!
