I’m a mother of an 18 yr old now!

So yesterday was Kaylee’s 18th Birthday. Shane came up with a brilliant joke that, of course, I agreed with whole heartedly. We brought suitcases up from the basement and set them in the kitchen. When Kaylee got home Shane
greeted her at the door, gave her a big hug & wished her a very Happy 18th Birthday!
Then he said, “Since you’re 18, here’s your suitcases, NOW GET THE HELL OUT!”
Now, of course, she knew he was kidding…she’s lived with us for 18 years after all.
But we all had a great laugh!
UPDATE: How sweet is this, my neighbor, (love my neighbors – well, most of them), Patty, gave Kaylee a card that was SO CUTE: It said:
~ You stand on the edge of adulthood….
Make sure you wear cute shoes!

She’s lovely! It’s so nice to see a teenager who’s happy and loves her parents. Happy birthday!!

OMG that is too funny. I glad she knew he was joking, although when I think about it could have been a kodak moment.
