Well, here in Northeast Ohio, the new year ushered in some warmer temps! After almost a month of not making it to twenty degrees we got socked with a warm front, of all things! Alan was building his annual snowboard ramp in the front yard and with all the snow we’ve had, he had the starting point of the ramp near a height of about 4 feet. I just went out and looked at it, it’s a pitiful foot or so high, lol. In fact, it’s just about the last remaining remnants of snowfall on our entire street. Green grass up and down and all around the neighborhood except for the pitiful remnants of the snowboard ramp. *boooo*
Funny how Mother Nature does things. Everything was so incredibly frozen for weeks! Now it’s all thawed. I wonder if that happens so that the animals and birds can get like fresh water and – you know – survive and all. Either that or it’s nature’s way of giving us an opportunity to see all the piles of dog doo that were frozen for weeks under all that snow – and clean it up. Or, get cars washed… take down the Christmas decorations without sliding off the roof and breaking our backs… all the stuff we need to do. Other than all of the above, I’ve mainly been relaxing, lol. I’ve eaten enough chocolates and nuts to choke a horse. I’ve napped. I’ve watched the kids play Wii. I’ve kicked their asses on Wii bowling. – OH, and I am good at the 100 pin game! 2684 is my score, baby!
New Years Eve I went to bed at 10:30. lol. Shane woke me at midnight for a wish and a kiss and then I remembered I wanted to participate in the One World thing and devote the first 11 minutes on 1-1-11 to thinking of those I love. So I did that and fell back to sleep. So far, it’s an EXCELLENT year – very relaxing! I gave Alan a driving lesson and we went onto a main street for the first time God help me. Then it was a prosperity meal consisting of pork roast, potatoes and veggies, and noodles. Yup, it’s gonna be a FABULOUS year!

The cold hit here! It’s freezing, but the rain has stopped…for now anyway. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I’d like some snow. I guess I’ve been gone long enough from Philly to appreciate some snow.
Our New Years Day dinner was pork roast with sauerkraut…YUM!

The weather was like that here too but now it is just cold! Brrr. Wii bowling is fun… play several games in a row and you really work up a sweat!

@Jeanne, I know! lol, and I Wii (omg that sounds funny) like I “for real” bowl, lol. So my arm actually is sore, ha ha.

Laid on my ass until this morning, then kicked much all day today of what I’d lain on. Amazing how The Child being back to school can inspire a mom. I LOVE my alone time.
Had forgotten how nice it is to just be home ALONE, with no one asking for stuff every 3 minutes. 
You go, Wii Woman!!! Holy cow, I think I made it to about 450 on that bowling game you speak of.
I’m best at the golf. Think I actually got par, plus 20, once!!

Oh, I got it! North Siberia. We actually watched a documentary once on how at minus 60 in Siberia, they have to build a fire under the oil pan to melt it up a bit in order to get their motors to run. On one truck they showed, anyway. Freaking heck.
Oh, and I lied a little up in my first comment. I have been working on my arms with my 3 and 5lb weights for the last week. So I WAS off my ass a bit, just not working on it specifically lately.
Now, I guess I should design and put up Mardi Funster’s sidebar button.

You know what’s weird? I’m a bit scared at the prospect of moving back to N.S. leaving everything here. I don’t think I’ve admitted that yet in cyberspace.
But I know we’ll bein Austin for at least today!
And most likely for a couple years. TG we now have a good renter up there in N.S.
