MC….my 17 year old daughter.  She’s so much like me it’s scary:

“Mom, can I have one of those protein bars you bought?”

“No.  They are for your brother.”

“What?  What do you mean?    Why can’t I HAVE one?    That’s not fair!”

“They are expensive and he needs them after his workouts.  They are for people who work out intensely.”

((about a half hour later….I hear the treadmill going.  And going.   Then…up the stairs comes MC.  Out of breath))

“Mom?  Can I have one of those protein bars now?”

“No.  I told you they were for your brother.”

“But….I just ran on the treadmill.  I ran like 6 minutes!  I think I need one of those protein bars.”

“Nice try.”

“Uhhhhh!  You mean I just ran all that time for NOTHING?”
