Now that the kids are older, I’m comfortable going to bed at my normal 10pm bedtime and not waiting for them to come home. I mean, that’s why they made keys, right? So anyhow, last Sunday, I woke up first, then Shane woke up. He went into the kitchen and said, “What? Did you make yourself EGGS this morning?”
“Eggs”, I laughed, “Of course not, why would I make myself eggs?”
“Well, someone made eggs.”
“Everyone is sleeping though.”
Then it hit us… MC came home after we went to bed the night before and must have made herself some eggs around 1am. “Good to know our kids are using the stove in the middle of the night when we’re asleep. Comforting.”
“Scary.”
Did you ever have a reaaaalllly needy pet? One that will pant the entire day rather than just take a nap? One that will sit and stare at you until you play ball for the 500th time that day?
It’s sorta like going to visit a friend who is not home.
