My question this week is:
When your “monthly friend” comes to visit….do you ever get symptoms of a cold or have stomach issues?
My Answer is “Yes”. And if anyone knows WHY this is….could you let me know?

Well, I just had a baby 4 months ago so I havent seen my friend in over a year! BUT, no I don’t have those symptoms….unless I’m pregnant! LOL

Oboy It been over 20 year since that visited me. And I had PMS so bad, if I had a cold or stomach I would have known. but I do know sometime the loss of blood in people with anemia can cause flu like systems. have your blood check. You can try eating my Iron enriched food during that time of the month. If it helps then that is the problem.

Nope I just super tired, cranky, eat everything in site. Never a cold. Stomach issues….not sure if you want to know that part…;0

Really bad cramps and some stomach issues. No fun and I’m super emotional – my husband stays clear and/or gives me lots of extra hugs.

I came back to read some answers and notice tyoo in mine, It was before my coffee wake up time.LOL.
so the first: If I had a cold….I would NOT have known.
second:try eating MORE iron enriched foods…

I have hardly had a monthly friend thanks to my Mirena IUD. Had that done after my little guy was born to keep my endometriosis under control. It has been amazing. Before that I would have horrible stomach issues mid-month and when my “special” friend would arrive. I was told that is common thanks to the hormones being released and the way it get the endometriosis areas. Feel better and good luck.

Its a heritary thing! Been there, done that, had that happen. Cold, achy sometimes like the flu or a cold coming on. Nothing now though ! HAAHAAlol, mom

Greetings!
I never have any problem such as what you mentioned, I used to have High school classmates who get very sick when they have their periods, the pain and uncomfortable feelings in them are still vivid in my memories…
I wish that someone could figure out a solution to the problems some of women have, blessings to all of you!

Hormones, we can blame many things on the hormones. I get lower GI tract stuff sometimes, between the hormones and muscle stuff I guess. I also get cramps that hurt AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL the way down to my knee. Fun stuff.

I would say I have some stomach issues, usually. But no, cold symptoms I have never heard of.

First I get really bitchy without even knowing it and then I get such terribly pain I can barely walk. The pills save me and it’s the most exhausting time possible other than being pregnant! Same thing every cycle!

I don’t get it anymore since my hysterectomy (Yay!), but I used to get horrible diarrhea right before and during the beginning of it. Never failed.

I’ve been pretty lucky. The first day I suffer from cramps but nothing major. After that, I pretty much forget it’s there.

I always get slight cramps right after I realize that “aunt flow” has come to visit. Then I am good after I take a couple of IBuprofen.
What I do get that is kind of weird though is very sharp gas pains, that actually make me make noises.
