Tales from the Crypt

“Oh look!  There’s the zoo!  We should go the zoo!”

“Ummmm….to expensive.   We’re going to the cemetery.  It doesn’t cost a penny and it’s just as fun!”

We arrived at River Side Cemetery to explore.   It’s very close to us yet I’ve never been there!  A treasure trove inside….these are the beautiful crypts made with local limestone from the quarry in Berea OH,  that my ancestors worked at.  All were built in the 1800′s.

Garden Monday
There’s a bowl of soup in my future

Monday Garden Club .

It’s Garden Monday at Feet Off The Table!

Well, I’m not going to be feeding any masses…but I might be able to make a bowl of vegetable soup one day.  AND!!!!!….I did make zucchini bread….that….everyone actually liked!  (1/2 of one zucchini was enough for 2 loaves!)

I made one mistake this week….and that was picking one of my cauliflower plants.  I got itchy trigger finger or something and picked a small head which was obviously NOT ready in the least.  I figured the plant would be like broccoli and continue to grow heads…until…30 minutes later I read on the net that once you pick it….the plant is spent.

NC Health Coverage – A Review

I’m allll about shopping around for insurance.  Whether it’s health, car, house, whatever!  I believe in getting quotes at least 1 time yearly and weighing your options with other carriers, even companies!   So, I poke around the net now and then and take a look at who has what.  Many times you can get quotes online.  I know that’s how I always buy my health coverage.  I was leery at first but if you shop a reputable company you should be ok.  NC health insurance has a great site that’s easy to navigate.   I think they are just for North Carolina residents.  I’d also recommend einsurance as well.  There’s usually always a better price out there…but you need to look for it.
