It’s Garden Monday at Feet Off The Table!
This is the pickins from last week. I think this was my last ‘big’ broccoli harvest. The only thing still growing broccoli-wise is a few little sprouts. But I have been able to freeze about a whole big ziplock bag full. Next year more broccoli plants for sure!
My onions were ALL pitiful but my cucumbers were outrageously plenty! I’ve given away quite a few.
Oh, and 3 measly RED peppers. But…I did grow these from a pepper SEED from a pepper that I BOUGHT last fall!
So I’m excited the plant produced any fruit at all! Only one of the 3 could be eaten. Well, eaten by humans, the other two had critter damage.
And what’s up with zucchini? Does it stop growing when the weather cools down?

We like to explore a bit, hike a little and soak in the beauty of nature. This week we explored Whipp’s Ledges in Hinckley, Ohio. It was only a short hike to get to the ledges which were formed some 250 million years ago. I think by glaciers. Without the trails, it would be a little steep for the average person to climb up, so luckily there are a lot of trails! You can even hike with your dog!
I’ve been here a number of times when I was a teenager, but not until I was an adult did I appreciate the beauty of this park. Here’s what we saw:
