Freaky Sky in Wooster, Ohio

Cheaper Than Therapy
.Wooster, Ohio was hit with a tornado this month.   There was a ton of damage including the Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Center for Ohio State University and multiple homes in businesses in the Wooster area.   The town also lost a lot of trees that afternoon, sheered in half by the twister.

This is a pic of the sky before the storm!

And afterward…..

What has 4 legs, a bushy tail, is furry, and often finds itself in precarious situations when teasing big dogs?
Normally I’d say ‘Lunch!’ – But NOT on it’s LUCKY day!

When I originally snapped this pic, I thought I was getting a funny shot of the squirrel  sitting atop the rail and the dogs salivating below. But just as I snapped the photo, everyone in the house gasped loudly as the squirrel jumped down… within a foot of the dogs.

*The squirrel was NOT hurt! It landed right between the two dogs on the grass and ran faster than I’ve ever seen a squirrel run….and jumped up and over our fence.*  I’m pretty sure this is my once in a lifetime shot…lunch a squirrel in mid flight.

I’ve updated my sidebar and this blog is now on Networked blogs! I have one friend and it’s me. How pitiful is that?
If you’re feeling generous, please go over and vote for me (quickest and easiest voting system ever!!) at Start up Nation. I’m ON FIRE! in the Mom Business Contest!  It’s ending soon, so please vote.  And thank you!

The ants go marching two by two
and…a Friday 55

Just when ya think you’ve seen just about everything….you find that little ants have taken up residence on your synthetic putting green.

They have systematically piled up the black coal slag infill and little balls of dirt to form a mini mountain around their new entrance way. Amazing.

*update.  just got back from visiting Jannie Funster’s tribute to G-Man’s Friday 55. So  I feel inclined to incorporate a Friday 55 into this post.  Here goes my 55 words:

He had free passes.
To walk beside legends.
Tiger.  Phil.  The gang.  Firestone.

She has a front row seat
beside nature watching busy little workers.
Snapping happily at their construction.
Marveling.

Hours later.  He tries to spot himself on tv.
In taped coverage of the day.

She blogs about ants.
