The uninvited house dweller ~ our own Casper!

Okay, so I told you in a previous post (are you following?) about 1 ‘big secret’ and also about my husband bringing a spirit home from a funeral.  I mentioned that a psychic had called me at home.  Here is the second part of those posts:

So I finally told my kids (2nd big secret) about the psychic calling our house.  She mentioned, without me asking, that there was a ‘spirit’ in my house.  Hummm, I was actually stunned.  Again, I gave no info, I just let HER talk.  She said she sees an elderly woman coming in and out ‘to visit’ now and then.  She also asks if I know of a ‘George’.   George comes in and out to see what we have done new/remodeled in the house.  He comes in every now and then just to see what is happening.  She asked if we had created a new room in the lower level.  He checks out what we are doing.

She asks if we are having problems with plumbing and electrical issues.  I said, “Yes, actually we’ve had issues with both ever since we moved in here”.  She stated that when lights flicker and bulbs burn out (like many at one time) that indicates a presence in the home.  (And oddly just two weeks before, I went through 11 new light bulbs within 3 days ~ but I didn’t confirm any of this with her directly, I just let her speak)

Then she stunned me.  She said, “I’m more concerned with a spirit that stays at your house…Who’s bedroom is…when you look down your hallway…the last bedroom on the right?”  Continue reading

Honey, we’re having company tonight!
My husband brings a spirit home from the funeral parlor

Alright, so I’m sitting here contemplating if and how to write this post without coming off as sounding completely off my rocker.  I guess I should just do it.  First let me state that I am a completely normal (well, mostly) person.  So when this particular event happened, I was, um…not only scared a little, but excited and at first, disbelieving.   With that said:

We had elderly neighbors right across the street who we had known before moving in (my Aunt used to own my house and these were her friends. Shane used to clean their windows). They were a very sweet couple.

When we moved in, we would talk to them pretty often. Emma would say that she ‘just simply enjoyed watching our kids playing in the front yard’, and that ‘it made her very happy to see them having fun’.

Over the course of the years, Dan would have occasional times where he fell.  Emma would call and Shane would go over and get him back up again. Shane would sit and talk with him.  Sometimes Dan would say he felt ‘embarrassed’ that Shane had to come over, but Shane assured him that he was happy to help, and then would get him off the subject by talking about golf or something.

Sadly, a couple days after the last fall, Dan passed. We attended the very large viewing. We didn’t know very many people there and we mainly stayed at the foot of the coffin while the family introduced themselves to us. Up until this point it was fairly uneventful and we excused ourselves and ventured home. Continue reading
