My sons first cross country meet.

My sons cross country team welcoming him on the team.
One mess I don’t mind cleaning up.   Find out why I admire my son,  here.

First meet!

(for the record, my kids have played several sports over the years, and I think this is my favorite one to watch! No sore bleacher butt. No hurt bladder. No hours and hours of it….ahhh.

Cross Country is amazing. And exciting!)

I also love the great sportsmanship!  The girls team cheering loudly for the boys and visa versa.  Other teams congratulating and saying nice things to their rivals. …very refreshing.

Way way back in the treeline was the starting line

Lots of runners starting to come by us

My boy in the green and white!

Water table with the ambulance in the background

Alan crossing the finish line!

My boy. (Alan). 5K run - approx 28 min. I was so excited I didn't get it exact.

This is just for fun. A house near the school. Holy cow! Imagine their heating bill!

  3. Way to go Alan, I loved track sports also, so fun to watch. 28 minutes is great, the best I’ve ever done is 35, ugh. I am such a slow runner, lol!

35 is great! I would never have made it past 5 minutes. Matter of fact, I’d request the ambulance just follow me.

  5. Yay for Alan for making the team and for a strong finish on the 5K! That’s about 13 minutes faster than I ran the 5K a couple of months ago. Of course, I’m a fat old lady. Sigh.

  8. Awesome! I ran cross country when I was in high school and I loved it. I was never any good but it was the best exercise of my life and the other kids were so nice.
