On our tour of colleges this summer. Which so far has totaled two, lol….I really loved Bowling Green State University. The buildings were clean and obviously well kept. Our tour guy was fun and alive and it was a pretty big campus in a very small city which offered a lot of good perks to the students that otherwise might worry parents. (Like shuttles everywhere, at all times, even off campus for shopping, etc.) Many of the dorms are new…and even the older ones (as pictured below) are better than what I’ve seen at other campuses. Carpet is standard in all rooms. And they offer many suites style dorms which is great for the kids. Here’s a look at what we saw on our tour of BGSU.

BGSU was everything a parent could want in a new home for their child going off to college. I actually came away from this one feeling very good. I would feel comfortable with her here. But, you see….this is my little bird that is going to fly. To explore the unknown wherever that takes her. To stretch her raised arms out in front of the Eiffel Tower one day and smile in the warm sun somewhere on the side of a cliff in Greece. Thankfully this college has a wonderful Study Abroad program, lol. But she still has several colleges in New York to look in to. New York is her preferred place to be. And in the end it is her choice, her education, her dreams.

Such a pretty state and no fear of a Hurricane, eh? I have family in Kentucky…something like a dozen cousins and maybe a thousand 2nd and 3rd cousins. Hey when you go visit next, tell ‘em all I say Hey.
I hope the classes live up to the campus. I think they will.

Nope, this one is in Ohio. Near Toledo.
What a beautiful campus! I don’t want to even think about college. Princess told me that she doesn’t want to go to college because she doesn’t want to leave me and LK. Right now I’m fine with that. I did tell her that she has the option of a local college like Portland State, where she can come home everyday. We’ll see… But for now, I’ve got a few years before I really start thinking about it.

That does look like a great college! I do not look forward to the day the boys start looking for colleges, especially if they want to move across the country!

This looks like a wonderful campus! Ah, kids these days, they want the hustle and bustle when the slower smaller towns are SOOO much better.
I am sure she will pick the right one for her, but this one is lovely and I get the parent aspect.

OH and KY have reciprocity, right? But New York…yikers! You’ll be doing out of state tuition. We did that for our daughter. Our son is in-state. Whew!

I don’t think Bowling Green University in Ohio has anything to do with Kentucky, but I could be wrong. (there’s a first time for everything! LOL, only kidding)
That place is beautiful!

wow! You have a great attitude about letting her go and choosing the right place for her. Wonder if I’ll ever be like that.
