…..browsing through the aisles….filling our cart with dried fruits….cookies….nuts……we wheeled right into the….*angels singing/bright lights and rainbows*….. the ‘junk isle’……….
He says:
“Oh! Wait! Look at these! How much are these?”
“$5.99. How good can they be for a 3 pack of SAWS that cost $5.99????”
“But I can use these! I need these! And there’s only a few left!”
“If we get those….that’s $5.99 worth LESS of veggies and fruits we can buy”
*thinks a moment* “I brought money. I’m getting these.”
“Okay…it’s yourrrr money”

………and so they sit. ready. waiting. to be used. probably once before they break…….

Sounds like my husband. I was really really exhausted last week and a friend of mine suggested that my husband take the kids school shopping. I had to laugh. That would work if I want an checking account and to not be able to pay bills this months.

Oh, I so know your pain! Just yesterday I had a doc apt. Hubby had been shopping 2 days before on his own ( very dangerous to say the least) and decided I needed a pair of shoes like he got, and decided to come along & we would stop & he would make sure I got them (ahem).. of course a few more things fell into the cart, and well as long as we are this close lets go over to X store… he found 2 pairs of pants right off… and I looked around.. later when done browsing I found him with that “look” in his eye in the electronic department… he was trying very hard to get me to jump right in and say yes to a big screen HD TV, which we have never priced nor researched… got out of that one, but took me back to some cookware that he had me look at last time we were there… only the stuff he wanted was $150 not the $70 set on display… well it was cheaper than the $600 set he has been eyeing up.. maybe some food will actually get cooked … Maybe? (evil laugh)
