One Cemetery ~ All Walks of Life.

Gravestones fascinate me.   Here are some recently discovered stones from our latest cemetery excursion.   Some are sad, some ironic, some funny, some odd.   All wonderful~  (Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland, OH)

Oh my! The "King" and "Queen"~ Of what?

Why...the GYPSIES! Of course! Duh!

Interesting stone with just a signature

Great view with the city in the background

Poor little baby graves. Well tended. Recent.

Old area of baby graves. No bobbles or remembrances. Sad.

Tiny little plot with three small, old grave markers

Just cuz I like the inscriptions

Ironic --->

*smile*

First gay grave I've ever seen. Beautiful.

Not sure what this means, but it's interesting.

This makes me chuckle.

Coffin. Bury.

  1. I have the same fascination for graveyards. Is it being a history buff? Or is it thinking that had a life that you didn’t know lays there? Interesting, nonetheless.

    Loved the photos. Thank you.

  14. How sweet that there is a gay gravesite. And the baby graveyard breaks my heart.

    When I visited Scotland a while back, we visited the Necropolis(http://www.glasgownecropolis.org/) in Glasgow. You would LOVE it. It is this huge cemetery full of unbelievable headstones and crypts and mausoleums some of which are hundreds of years old. We spent half a day wandering around in there. If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend it!
