Why is it that every time I have to go to the bathroom really bad…someone just went in there with a newspaper or a book? Why I say!

We had five children and two adults and one bathroom! Five daughters and one son. By the time they were teenagers it felt like I went in there only to clean. I knew a lady who told me there were eight kids in her family plus her mum and dad, and one bathroom. She said there was always some one in there. One to use the toilet, one taking a bath, one brushing teeth, one looking in the mirror, and at least one in there just to chat.

Whenever I find one of my husbands magazines in there (Usually some dumb gun mag. .. why, I have no idea. Needs help with his aim I guess.) I find the pages with the last half of the articles, and rip them out. The next time he goes in for a good read he doesn’t stay as long.
Nothings worse than reading about a gun while on the biffy only to be left … hanging.

We have two little electronic solitaire games that sit on the back of the upstairs (mine) and the downstairs(his) toilets. So whenever we have to #2, we say we’re going to play solitaire.

We already have a list of things to look for in our NEXT house – 2 bathrooms or more is definitely one of the big ones.
I hate that my husband always goes in there for that first thing in the morning when both the twins are cranky and need fed. Of course they aren’t that way when he goes in there – but I’ll yell in, “Hey – they are BOTH crying!” and he’ll yell back “Sorry – nature calls!” UGH!
