When my kids were little, we used to make it a point to visit their grandpa’s grave on Veteran’s Day (Shane’s dad passed) and we would stop and acknowledge each vets grave on the way to their grandpa’s.
If you see a vet…say thank you for their service.

We call it Remembrance Day here in Canada. My husband’s cousin lost her fiance in Afghanistan last year. She was pregnant with their child. Today his one year old boy will lay a wreath in his honor. Wow tearing up jsut thinking about it.

The pictures gave me goosebumps! Sometimes you forget about the possibilities that the soldiers who die leave behind. They not only give their lives, but they give the lives of any possible future generations! Great pictures!

How awesome! My FIL came to the kids’ school today for a Veterans Day Assembly and it was amazing. They are brave people and I’m so thankful for our freedoms.

Wow, those are amazing photos! How lucky you are to have them! My grandfathers, my dad and my husband are all vets (well, hubs is active duty and just reinlisted) but I don’t have any great pics like that. I wish I did. Hmmm, I’ll have to bug my parents to see what they can dig up.
