I’m so glad we didn’t have to do the 50 hours thing when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure my mom would have killed me. Kudos on the patience.

My 18 year old drove me three hours on the interstate last week. Multiple times he took BOTH hands off the steering wheel to gesture and illustrate a story he was telling. Scared me to death.

She’s right. Nobody completes their hours and that probably explains why most kids don’t have their first vehicle anymore. My daughter was telling me the other day how she’s the only one she knows who still has her first vehicle. ( I made both of my kids drive for over a year before they got their license.)

My mom was SO much better to learn with than my dad. He drove me crazy.
