You know? So many people have asked me if I’m gonna ‘be a basket case’ about my oldest going off to college…and you know what? Nope. I think watching my daughter over the last year, and especially over the last couple months…I’ve developed a sense of calm and comfort. It’s like she’s going on a big long sleepover or something. She’s already a very independent person anyways. And yesterday, after moving her into the dorm? I felt a great sense of pride and accomplishment. Not only for her…but for Shane and I as well. And when we got back home? We gave each other a fist bump and said…Wow, we’ve actually succeeded in raising one whole child all the way to college.
And that? That’s amazing.

Yes you both certainly did a gret job! She still is “a pumpkin” off to college…. I see her as an adult, but that little girl is still in there…just as that little girl is in you! lol, mom
That is an accomplishment. I hope I’m just as strong as you are. My husband has already banned me from dropping our kid off at college b/c he knows I’m going to be a nightmare.
