I never realized how much I loved and appreciated my laptop until I closed the footrest on my recliner and SEVERED the charger wire almost in half.   It was like a ‘B’ Horror movie….the gasps were very audible.   So…Saturday thru Thursday I had to share (SHARE!) the desktop with three teens.   Crap!

Called all the stores near me…universal charger replacement: $99.  SAY WHAT?  (I can’t use the battery only option because the batery doesn’t hold a charge and I’m too cheap to spend $100 on a battery).  Went online to find a replacement.  Found some interesting things.  One, there are many places that replacements cheap…BUT…buyer beware…many are knockoffs!   I found two great prices, $23.99 and $19.99.  The $23.99 was from NJ, the cheaper one…on the site with the American Flag displayed proudly?   CHINA.  lol.  And…in the fine print, the site from China clearly states that the photos of their products don’t reflect the products sent.  Hmmmm.  Reallllly?  So I opted for the NJ site.

They came through quickly for me even though I got the regular delivery (USPS)…I ordered it Saturday night and was up and running on Wednesday.  If you EVER need parts….check out SimpleMicro.com.  Fast, friendly and they sell what they actually say they sell and not knockoffs.  In fact, I’d go there now and just bookmark the site just in case, lol.
