My Life is a Country Song
and, I’m Changing Genre’s

I’ve decided enough’s enough. This country-song life, however funny, is gonna take a turn.

Okay, so, since I’ve posted that post about ‘not sweating the small stuff’, you know, the one about the washing machine, vacuum, and camel pee?   The following things have occurred:

*I broke yet ANOTHER tooth. $1153.  (2 crowns – the broken one & the one next door.  Figured I just get them both now, it was either that or pay one of the kids to chew my food for me.)
*We had to evict our tenant for non-payment of rent. I thought I followed the proper court procedures, but apparently used an outdated form and had to start over!
*Kaylee had a $100 stye in her eye
*My brother in law had his identity stolen
*My income tax return that I have been expecting was sent back.   I forgot to attach one form.
*We discovered a leak.  Somewhere in the bathroom…leaking through to the basement ceiling.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! lol.   Let me tell ya, my life is SO MUCH MORE than these weird quirky things!   I’ve always had these little things happen….and I don’t dwell on them.   There’s nothing that I don’t laugh at.   I’ve never been one to let the negatives get the best of me.   I certainly don’t want my entire life to be defined as one big heaping country song.

I’m thinking if I get my whole ‘way of looking at things’ turned around maybe the rest will follow.     That, to channel the positive may create more positive!    So my goal for the rest of the year is to FOCUS.    Enjoy the things that I dream about and make those dreams a reality.   Focus on what I want to become and how to get there.

That really sucks that you have had so many negative things happen. Keep the faith! Sounds like you are being tested. You’ll make it through and great attitude!

  7. Camel pee? I think I missed something.

I think it’s high time to buy a lottery ticket. Your luck has got to turn around sooner or later and you might as well cash in.

  16. When you just wrote “for the rest of the year” I had to think for a moment about what month it is. And I noticed it’s February! You have a big plan to focus for another 10 months. ;)

I’ll write Mr. Murphy a letter to leave you alone (and me too, please!)

  17. No Sheila! Out of all that’s going on, I have to say the tooth problems sound so bad. The drill is echoing in my head and that is just excruciating for me to think about. Yes, it’s psychological but I can’t help it.

  19. What a great goal, focus on the positive. I know how easy it can be to get sucked into the negative drain pool. Sorry to hear about all the trouble but I don’t believe that a positive attitude will be more positive into your life.
