Send in the plows!

Main roads, 5:30AM Saturday Morning. After an 8 inch snowfall overnight.
What am I doing out at 5:30am? Taking Middle Child to work!
Uh, huh, the one who insisted she’d neeever work before 12pm….has arrived at 5:30am on a Saturday. lol.
Personally I’m hoping this is not a recurring shift.
(the only other vehicles out were snow plows….not City plows ~ which is evident by unplowed streets, but private contractors.)
So on top of the snow from this morning, we added another 4 inches by 2pm. So we’ve had about a foot of that beautiful white fluff since late Friday night into Saturday afternoon. Still no plows. The main streets still suck. According to a news report, suburbs of Cleveland (us…) are not plowing as they would normally, ‘because it’s a weekend’. Ah-DUH! Are you kidding me? Everyone who has a tv knew this was coming on Friday! lol. What a bunch of dummies. Give me a break, they don’t have enough personnel to plow on weekends? Jackasses. (There’s another classic example of our tax dollars hard at work.)

Remember when I said 6 weeks ago, “We should make sure the snow blower is working.” ? Yeah.
Should have done that 6 weeks ago, rather than find out the belt is shredded the day we need to plow a foot of snow. LOL! But that’s okay, I got to drive to Ace Hardware and get a new belt, on the slippery snow covered hills that didn’t get plowed. ha ha
Here’s also a pic of Shane snow blowing when it’s fixed. And our neighbors roof. I can sit and look at the roof snow for hours. I just love it for some weird reason. And…I’ll bet I have the ONLY kid in the neighborhood who uses a wheelbarrow to schlep in snow to build a ramp on the front lawn. ha ha ha

How long is your driveway? It looks very very long.
The snow looks very beautiful to me.

Is that lake effect snow? We haven’t gotten ANY here in Baltimore. And I want at least a little. Of course, we’ll likely get a foot next week and I’ll be like, woe is me, there’s so much snow I can’t go any where. Never happy.

That’s a lot of snow! My parents live out in Wisconsin and my mom said that they had 10 inches fall on Friday alone. The snow is beautiful but I do not miss driving in it. At least there wasn’t very many vehicles on the road when you drove in it at 5:30 am.

My parents are in the same situation. I kinda miss the snow being an upstate NY girl. Once Christmas, We got so much snow that my Dad’s pickup truck was completely covered. My relatives couldn’t get to our house for dinner. I had a brand new SUV so I rescued everyone and saved Christmas!!!
