Be still my heart.

Okay everyone, listen up!  This is not only important… it’s a milestone!   Middle Child got her first  J-O-B.  A real one!  One that pays money!  And me?  I’m doing the happy dance!!!!

So she’s been ‘absolutely dying to work at’ this restaurant/bistro-y place.  The night before they were doing interviews, she printed off an application online to take in with her and….she’s like “Oh…they want to know when I’m available.”  (puzzled look)

I said, “so…you put down 4pm on school days and flexible on the weekends.”

She looks at me like I’m nuts and says, “Oh, I’m putting down ‘no mornings‘.”

I’m like “What?”

“Yeah, I’m not getting up early ! ”

(OMG)  I said, “yeah, then….you probably won’t be working either”.

“Well, I need my sleep on the weekends, so there’s no way I’m waking up early on a Saturday or Sunday to go to work”.

So…she got the job today at the interview.  They told her to report to a training session this Saturday morning at 8 AM.    LOL

I said, “Oh…in the morning?….What did you tell him?”

She said, “Oh, I told him…that’s fine….I’m  flexible.”

arghhhhhhhhhh  ha ha ha!   Oh wait!  The best part?  She said (out-loud with a third person present – for the record) “Now I can buy my own stuff!  I’ll have money!”

Happy dance!  Happy dance!

  13. How delightful! Now that is why I wear a digital tape recorder around my neck so that when she next comes around with an open hand and an empty pocket I could whip out the recorder and press replay! [I should treat yourself for Christmas, they're very, very handy]
