Middle Child celebrated her 16th birthday at the mall last night!
In honor of her request to not be shown on my blog, the whole group posed for this picture. I think when we took this one, we were still waiting on 4 kids to arrive. Yes, we had a pretty large party.

What did they do at the mall you ask? Well, we had a scavenger hunt!
I split them off into groups of two and gave them an hour and a half to find the following items. I was astonished over how much they got into this!
Rules: Collect as many things on the below list as you can.
No RUNNING. (or you will get more items added to the list)
You can write down the answer, collect the answer or take a pic.
Come back when done but definitely come back in 1 1/2hours
Try to stay out of stores with breakable stuff please
1.) The name of a store in which the first letter is not capitalized
2.) A magazine that has a picture of a popular music artist, actor, or actress in it
3.) A free sample of something cinnamon-flavored
4.) The ugliest-looking cosmetic item you can find (take a pic)
5.) A coffee sleeve from Starbucks
6.) The cheapest item you can find at Claire’s (write down the price)
7.) A tropical-smelling perfume sample
8.) A mall directory
9.) A notepad with an animal on the front cover
10.) A straw with a wrapper that is not only white
11.) Write something in Spanish off of a payphone
12.) A picture of another team
13.) The tiny sample spoon you get at an ice cream store
14.) A take-out menu
15.) Your photo with a mannequin that has red hair
16.) Anything from a 25 cent or 50 cent machine
17.) One sheet of toilet paper from the ladies room
18.) A pic with a security guard
19.) A pic of you with someone in an Ohio State shirt
20.) A pic of Santa Claus
21.) A brochure from a cell phone company
22.) A photo of you taking a photo of you and your team mate through a mirror.
23.) Bring back something with the letter K on it (in honor of MC)
24.) Bring back something with the number 16 on it (in honor of MC)
25.) A picture of anything ‘Jonas Brothers’ (in honor of MC)
26.) A picture of one of your team holding a spatula
After the hunt was over we celebrated at Johnny Rockets with icecream and milkshakes!



Brownie Sundae Embarrassing my kid Staff singing backwards
(The crew at Johnny Rockets gave her a choice of a veryyyy lonnnng birthday song or singing Happy Birthday backwards. They all thought backwards was like the song sung backwards….but they actually turned around and sang with their backs to them. It was hilarious. And one last cute moment (Bee Gees Stayin’ Alive):

We do scavenger hunts in the summer at our friend’s house. Very clever to take the hunt inside a mall for a birthday idea… Happy birthday to your daughter.
